There is only one God, all powerful, creator of the heavens and the earth. God was before what was created and will continue should the created cease to exist. God wants to be known and worshiped by us. There are things about God that people cannot see—his eternal power and all that makes him God. Those things are made clear in the intelligent design of all that God has made. There is no other like God.

Genesis 1:1 God created the sky and the earth.

Exodus 20:3 "You must not worship any other gods except me.

Deuteronomy 6:4 The LORD is our God. The LORD is the only God.

Isaiah 46:9 Remember, I am God and there is no other God. There is no other like me.

Romans 1:20 There are things about God that people cannot see—his eternal power and all that makes him God. But since the beginning of the world, those things have been easy for people to understand. They are made clear in what God has made. So people have no excuse for the evil they do.

1 Corinthians 8:6 For us there is only one God, and he is our Father. All things came from him, and we live for him.

Revelation 1:8 The Lord God says, “I am the Alpha and the Omega. I am the one who is, who always was, and who is coming. I am the All-Powerful.”

Revelation 4:11 “Our Lord and God! You are worthy to receive glory and honor and power. You made all things. Everything existed and was made because you wanted it.”

We believe that the Jesus of the New Testament was the expression of God become flesh to reveal God to humanity and to become the Savior of the world, the Messiah. Jesus lived a sinless human life and to fulfill prophecy was sacrificed for the sins of all men via death on the cross. He arose from death after three days, showed himself to his followers, and spent time with them before ascending to Heaven. In heaven he took his place at the right hand of almighty God and as promised sent back the Helper, the Spirit of Truth. One day He will return to earth to reign as King of Kings & Lord of Lords.

John 1:1-2 Before the world began, the Word was there. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was there with God in the beginning.

John 1:14 The Word became a man and lived among us. We saw his divine greatness—the greatness that belongs to the only Son of the Father. The Word was full of grace and truth.

John 1:32-33 Then John said, “I also did not know who the Messiah was. But the one who sent me to baptize with water told me, 'You will see the Spirit come down and rest on a man. He is the one who will baptize with the Holy Spirit.' I have seen this happen. I saw the Spirit come down from heaven like a dove and rest on this man.

Mark 14:61-62 The high priest asked Jesus another question: “Are you the Messiah, the Son of the blessed God?” Jesus answered, “Yes, I am the Son of God.

Hebrews 4:14 We have a great high priest who has gone to live with God in heaven. He is Jesus the Son of God. So let us continue to express our faith in him.

Revelation 22:16 “I, Jesus, have sent my angel to tell you these things for the churches. I am the descendant from the family of David. I am the bright morning star.”

The Holy Spirit provides power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. The gifts of the Holy Spirit are given to, and through, followers of Christ. The purpose of the gifts is to build up the church and convince others of the truth of Jesus.

John 4:24 God is spirit. So the people who worship him must worship in spirit and truth."

John 14:15-17 "If you love me, you will do what I command. I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper to be with you forever. The Helper is the Spirit of truth.

John 14:26 But the Helper will teach you everything and cause you to remember all that I told you. This Helper is the Holy Spirit that the Father will send in my name.

John 16:7 Let me assure you, it is better for you that I go away. I say this because when I go away I will send the Helper to you. But if I did not go, the Helper would not come.

John 16:13 But when the Spirit of truth comes, he will lead you into all truth. He will not speak his own words. He will speak only what he hears and will tell you what will happen in the future.

Acts 2:38-39 Peter said to them, “Change your hearts and lives and be baptized, each one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ. Then God will forgive your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. This promise is for you. It is also for your children and for the people who are far away. It is for everyone the Lord our God calls to himself.”

According to Genesis 1 and 2 man was created as a capstone of God’s creation and was placed in a special garden to care for it, have fellowship with God, reflect God’s character. Man disobeyed and failed to follow God’s simple instructions. As a result of man’s disobedience he was ejected from God’s special garden. He lost out on relationship with God and eternal life because of his disobedience. But God provided a way to restore that relationship via a promised Messiah.

Genesis 1:26-27 Then God said, “Now let's make humans who will be like us. They will rule over all the fish in the sea and the birds in the air. They will rule over all the large animals and all the little things that crawl on the earth.” So God created humans in his own image. He created them to be like himself.

Genesis 2:7 Then the LORD God took dust from the ground and made a man. He breathed the breath of life into the man's nose, and the man became a living thing.

Genesis 2:15-17 The LORD God put the man in the Garden of Eden to work the soil and take care of the garden. The LORD God gave him this command: “You may eat from any tree in the garden. But you must not eat from the tree that gives knowledge about good and evil. If you eat fruit from that tree, on that day you will certainly die!”

Psalms 8:4 & 6 And I wonder, “Why are people so important to you? Why do you even think about them? Why do you care so much about humans? Why do you even notice them?” You put them in charge of everything you made. You put everything under their control.

Romans 3:10 As the Scriptures say, "There is no one doing what is right, not even one.

Romans 3:22-23 God makes people right through their faith in Jesus Christ. He does this for all who believe in Christ. Everyone is the same. All have sinned and are not good enough to share God's divine greatness.

We believe the bible is a collection of writings written long ago, in other languages, by men who encountered God and were inspired to write about their experiences in relationship to Him. The writers did not try to prove God’s existence because the witness of creation and their own experience made further proof unnecessary. Instead they shared what they knew about God based on their own human perspectives in relationship to Him. The writers were imperfect human beings who shared how God dealt with them in spite of their faults. They were human and subject to mistakes, but their words show us how imperfect humans can find a perfect God. God inspired their writing but did not dictate word for word what was written.

Romans 15:4 Everything that was written in the past was written to teach us. Those things were written so that we could have hope. That hope comes from the patience and encouragement that the Scriptures give us.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 All Scripture is given by God. And all Scripture is useful for teaching and for showing people what is wrong in their lives. It is useful for correcting faults and teaching the right way to live. Using the Scriptures, those who serve God will be prepared and will have everything they need to do every good work.

We believe that the church is the body of Christ, of which Jesus Christ is the head. The church is collectively the people who have trusted by faith the finished work of Christ. The church is not a building, but people. The word “church” is a translation of the Greek word ekklesia, which is defined as “an assembly” or “called-out ones.”

Matthew 16:17-18 Jesus answered, "You are blessed, Simon son of Jonah. No one taught you that. My Father in heaven showed you who I am. So I tell you, you are Peter. And I will build my church on this rock. The power of death will not be able to defeat my church.

Acts 9:31 The church in Judea, Galilee, and Samaria had a time of peace. And with the help of the Holy Spirit, these groups of believers became stronger in faith and showed their respect for the Lord by the way they lived. So the church everywhere grew in numbers.

1 Corinthians 12:27 All of you together are the body of Christ. Each one of you is a part of that body.

Ephesians 1:22-23 God put everything under Christ's power and made him head over everything for the church. The church is Christ's body.

We believe all Christians should live for Christ by being obedient to his teachings. Christians should honor and love God. Christians should treat others as they would wish to be treated themselves.

John 14:15 ”If you love me, you will do what I command.

John 14:21 Those who really love me are the ones who not only know my commands but also obey them.

John 15:12 This is what I command you: Love each other as I have loved you.

John 17:3 & 6 And this is eternal life: that people can know you, the only true God, and that they can know Jesus Christ, the one you sent. ”You gave me some people from the world. I have shown them what you are like. They belonged to you, and you gave them to me. They have obeyed your teaching.
